McCadden Residence

Located in the historic neighborhood of Hancock Park in Los Angeles, this historic 100 year old Tudor residence was in need of modernization. The traditional layout did not open to the rear yard and take advantage of the property’s full potential. Collaborating alongside Studio Jake Arnold and Studio Art Luna, we remodeled the main residence to engage with the new rear yard functions which include a covered loggia, outdoor kitchen with pizza oven, an outdoor dining area nestled under a rose-clad trellis, and a new pool & spa. The backdrop for these functions is a new guest house, designed in the same style as the main residence, which includes lounge spaces, an office and a private guest suite.
